Arrival in Hanoi
Day 1 – Travel from Hanoi to Lao Cai Province via Night Train
The company will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi at 7pm in the evening. From there, you will be accompanied to the city’s train station to ride the night train that will take you to Lao Cai province. Immerse yourself in the unique experience of travelling through a train ride overnight.
After leaving your hotel and arriving at the train station, you will board a night train featuring a 4-soft sleeper A/C shared cabin. Meals are not covered.
Day 2 – Arrival in Sapa and Trekking in the Villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van
You will exit the train at Lao Cai at 6am in the morning. From there, we’ll take you on a one-hour car ride up the elevated terrain to the beautiful Sapa Town. While you’re on the way there, bask in the scenery and landscape of the countryside and especially the sight of the rice terraces.
When the car drops you off at Sapa Town, you will enjoy breakfast with the tour guides and your fellow travelers in a restaurant in town. After eating to your heart’s content, we will start preparing for a trek of a lifetime all the way down to the scenic Muong Hoa valley. From Sapa, you will ride a car to Lao Chai, the home village of the Black H’mong people.
Go on a peaceful walk around Lao Chai and take a break for lunch inside one of the homes in the village. After that, we’ll begin our trek and pass by the terraced rice fields in Lao Chai to the Ta Van village, home of the Giay people. You will get a rare chance to get into the architecture in town, the daily life of the people, their way of life, and their one of a kind customs and traditions. Take in the vast, scenic landscapes along the way. We’ll return to Sapa Town in a car when late afternoon comes.
After departing Lao Cai station for Sapa, the walking and trekking is estimated to last around 5 hours. An English-speaking guide’ll accompany you. We’ll arrange for your accommodation at the Bamboo Sapa hotel, or another hotel of similar level and class. Your day’s meals include breakfast and lunch.
Day 3 – Sapa Town, Trekking in the Cat Cat and Sin Chai Villages, Back to Lai Cai Station
Following a filling breakfast, you and your fellow travelers will take a walk down the high ground to the southwestern area of Sapa to stop by the Cat Cat village, where the Black H’mong people live. Unwind by the base of the gorgeous waterfall and look on at the hydroelectric power station that’s just near you. The French built the station during Vietnam’s colonial period.
Relax with a picnic lunch on the riverbank before trekking to Sin Chai, the village built beside the foot of the Fansipan Mountain, also known as “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. Here you can admire the vast and breathtaking scenery before going up and climbing the mountain. Once you’ve had your fill of the adventure, we’ll return to Sapa Town by jeep. When late afternoon comes, we’ll accompany you back to Lao Cai station to take the night train back to Hanoi. The train will take you to Hanoi the by 5:30 AM of the next day.
The walking and trekking for this day will last around 6 hours, and an English-speaking guide will join you. Breakfast and lunch are covered as your meals for the day. At the end of your adventure, we’ll accompany you from Sapa to go back to Lao Cai station.

We provide Bus transport or Train ride from Hanoi to Sapa for your convenience. Our bus has a capacity of 15 pax excluding our driver thus you can travel individually or as a group.
Bus transport from Hanoi to Sapa is faster and will take between 4 – 5 hours while a Train ride from Hanoi to Sapa will take between 9-10 hours.
Prices for both bus and train ticket is estimated to be USD50-90 and is subjected to change due to off-peak and peak season.
